This page is maintained by the MyVote.lk team to explain what our lists are, what they are not, and how anyone listed (or their representative) can request a correction.
What MyVote.lk is
MyVote.lk is a community-driven directory of ranked lists — doctors, businesses, services, and other categories relevant to people in Sri Lanka. Entries are added by the community and ordered by up/down votes cast by real visitors. Nothing on MyVote.lk is paid placement.
This is not an endorsement
Appearing on MyVote.lk — at any rank — is not an endorsement, certification, recommendation, or approval by MyVote.lk. Vote counts reflect visitor opinion at a point in time, not verified outcomes, qualifications, or professional standing. Rankings can and do change as new votes come in.
For healthcare-related listings specifically
MyVote.lk does not verify Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) registration, specialty board certification, hospital affiliations, or the current licensing status of any practitioner listed on this site. Information may be out of date or incorrect.
Always confirm a practitioner's credentials independently — with the SLMC, the practitioner's clinic or hospital, or your own physician — before seeking treatment. Nothing on MyVote.lk is medical advice.
User-submitted votes and suggestions
Votes and entry suggestions are submitted by anonymous visitors. We use per-device controls to limit obvious abuse (one vote per device per entry), but we cannot guarantee that every vote reflects a genuine personal experience. Treat rankings as one signal among many, not as verified fact.
Suggestions submitted through the "Suggest an entry" form are reviewed by a moderator before they appear publicly.
Requesting a correction or removal
If you are listed on MyVote.lk (or represent someone who is) and something is inaccurate, outdated, or you would like the entry removed, please open a correction request:
We aim to review correction requests promptly. Please include enough detail (and, where possible, a supporting link) so our moderator can verify the issue.
